# neat8 fonts > Open-licensed fonts (OFL, Apache 2.0, MIT) served through a Google Fonts–compatible > CSS API. Swap `fonts.googleapis.com` for `https://fonts.neat8.com` in an embed URL and it works the > same. No cookies, no tracking. Each family page names its designer and license. Privacy: https://fonts.neat8.com/privacy. Terms: https://fonts.neat8.com/terms. ## CSS API Request a stylesheet with `https://fonts.neat8.com/css2?family=:wght@&display=swap`. Weights are `;`-separated, italics use the `ital,wght@0,400;1,400` axis-tuple form, and families with a variable font take ranges like `wght@100..900` (and `wdth` and other axes they have). Several `family=` parameters can share one request. Family names are case-sensitive. Output matches Google's: browsers get WOFF2 split into per-script `unicode-range` blocks, older browsers WOFF, and clients without a browser User-Agent TrueType. A family, weight or style that doesn't exist is an HTTP 400 (a missing family among several is skipped). Example: `https://fonts.neat8.com/css2?family=Inter:wght@400;700&display=swap` ## JSON API - `https://fonts.neat8.com/api/families` — list all families (slug, name, category, weights, variable-font axes). - `https://fonts.neat8.com/api/family/{slug}` — full detail for one family: variants, per-format file URLs, license metadata, variable-font axes. ## Font files Font files are served under `https://fonts.neat8.com/s/` with immutable, content-addressed URLs; take them from the CSS or JSON responses. Downloads include the original TTF/OTF.
